Located in central suburban Auckland, Mt Albert Grammar School has spent the past eighty years teaching agriculture and horticulture to students on an 8 hectare model farm owned by ASB. Recently the bank and the school have recommitted to another eighty years of partnership, and with help from a team of agrifood sector backers, they’re making plans to modernise the farm, create a “centre of excellence”, and introduce more students than ever to careers in the agrifood sector. Chairman of the Advisory Board, Mark Heer, speaks with Roger Bourne about the farm and its future
